Future is Color Studio Sessions: Listening Room

Overview

When Future Is Color envisioned Listening Room, they weren’t just creating a music event, they were building a space where sound becomes a bridge to self-discovery, dialogue, and collective dreaming. As the host and curator for Season 3, my role has been to help shape this vision into a structured, repeatable, and impactful experience that deepens community connection.

My Roles

  • Curator & Host: I select each album and guide each session, blending music with reflective dialogue to create a space where people feel seen, heard, and inspired.

  • Experience Designer: I developed run-of-show structures, facilitation templates, and discussion prompts to ensure each event is intentional and rooted in Future Is Color’s mission.

  • Strategic Partner: To ensure longevity, I introduced surveys and feedback loops that capture impact and helped secure a grant to continue producing community arts events.

The Impact

  • Deepened community engagement by providing an intimate space for shared storytelling and connection.

  • Created a sustainable model that allows Listening Room to provide a consistent experience, no matter who is the host.

  • Demonstrated the power of community-driven arts experiences, securing funding to sustain and expand programming.

For The Goods isn’t at the center of Listening Room—we’re simply a catalyst, helping to shape the conditions for meaningful dialogue, cultural storytelling, and collective liberation. Because when we create space for dreams, we create space for change.
